Stomping on a big cement ground as hard a possible with a contact mic attached to the ground. The contact mic provides lots of bass so you can use this for punches, kicks, impacts, anything that can use a sweeter for impacts. I handmade my contact mic and recorded that into a h5. Me flicking my toe into the metal section of my desk to simulate either hard footsteps on metal or metal being slammed into. Audio technica atr 6550 shotgun mic was used to record this sound.

After hours of searching for the sound of a guitar hitting the ground, i resolved to just recording a quick piece. This is a small sized guitar hitting the ground a couple times on a carpeted floor (recorded in logic pro).

Recording of a double firework explosion.

A classic movie punch sound recreated by hitting a leather car seat with a cricket bat. Recorded using a rode k2 tube mic and a schoeps cmc6, driving the preamps hard and compressing the input, then heavily compressing a number of takes using analog-emulation plugins (including a fairchild 660) and running the mix through waves maxxbass. Then limiting some more and finally adding the swoosh of a riding crop and a non-linear reverb noise tail.

Dropping a small firecracker onto a metal plate.

This is a free kick sound i created using a roland 808 drum machine. I then ran it through distortion and compression in sound forge to get this hard boomy crunchy punch. Pitched at c2 for convenience. Enjoy :).

Popping sound made with my mouth. . . Sounds like a coconut, popping, or knock on the head. No effects used except noise reduction. Recorded at home on conexant smart audio with at2020 mic. Processed on audacity.

It's a recording of wooden door in an old village house getting closed rapidly. There is some overhead silence in this recording to allow making a smooth transision for this sample (fade-in and fade-out), because there is some background noise and little sound of me moving around. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.
